I found this article, written for healthy people, about maintaining health and comfort during air travel:
Interesting how similar some of their suggestions are to mine for us folks with chronic pain. I love the idea of doing in-seat yoga and stretching exercises–keeps the blood circulating and the joints and muscles loose.
Don’t bother packing your own water! They’ll give it to you for free in the plane. And have a care before hosing yourself down with a scented spray. In fact, consider waiting on that until you’ve landed. Why? For the sake of other travelers–imagine being allergic or sensitive to lavender or rosemary, and having your coach-class seatmate drenched in it. No fun! Instead of using scented product, mist yourself with pure spring water and use unscented lotions and lip glosses.
Actually, you could probably get away with a lightly scented lip gloss, so long as you keep your lips to yourself. Which I tend to do with strangers on planes.
